They will all work the same as the other Tarot Decks, only these ones have nicer images.

The only hesitation you should have with buying these decks is if you are a newbie. Some of the court cards may be different which can create some confusion if you are just starting out. Also card numberings and Major Arcana names can also be different to standard decks and it is hard to learn from these as a result. Check out my Beginners Decks section for decks with the newbie in mind.

If you have been reading the Tarot for a while now, you should have no trouble deciphering the different card numbers and so forth of the decks below.

I have to admit that I don't have a lot of decorative decks myself, as I tend to lean on the practical side with my decks, so this list below is more like my little wish list. If you are a friend or family member feel free to buy me any of the decks below. :)

Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg Deck & Book Set with Book

This deck I own and it's beautiful. This I know is easy for the newbie to use also as the numbers and names will match with other Tarot books. Unfortunately, Barnes and Noble don't seem to sell this deck on it's own but the book and deck set is still good value. It's one of the nicer decks that I have seen out there.

The Lord of the Rings: Tarot Deck and Card Game

Tarot for Lord of the Rings fans. It looks great. I'm not even a Lord of the Rings type and I am thinking about getting this one. Great images.


Wonderland Tarot Deck

Alice in Wonderland! This deck just looks too cute....I don't have this one but I would love to buy it.

Dragon Tarot Deck & Book Set

This deck looks like a goodie. Mythical images and the like. Very decorative. It's hard to find ones sometimes that are like this.

Dali Universal Tarot Deck

Please buy me this deck someone! Salvador Dali designed a Tarot deck and made every image. I would just love to own this however it's a special order and it costs 80 bucks. I am not even sure if this is the actual deck itself, or a book of the deck images. Either way, I would love to own this one. I'm a Dali fan, I admit it. It's just a too fantastic idea. Might have to save up for this one and stop torturing myself with it....arghh....

Visconti-Sforza Tarocchi

I wouldn't mind taking a look at this one too. A real Italian deck would be just lovely in my little collection...heheheh....Again, this one is special order and expensive. Damn.

Le Tarot de Marseille Deck

I wouldn't mind a real French deck too now I mention it. Again, special order. However the price says 15 bucks which is extremely good value. Might just have to buy this one too......


Tarots of the Gnomes Deck

Gnomes! I would love to have this one just for the fun of it. I can't imagine giving people serious readings with it though...lol....

Ancient Italian Tarot Deck

This looks like a really good deck actually. Nice classic images and not too harsh. Very lovely.

Tarot of Baseball Deck

Now I've seen everything!!!!!! Please don't buy me this deck. I can't imagine giving someone a serious reading with this either....hehehe. I can't relate to sport at the best of times, much less with a Tarot deck. Still, this is a fun one...might buy one for my sister...heheheh...


The Sacred Rose Tarot Deck

This looks like a really nice deck too. Nice images and easy to look at. Good as a additional deck I think.
