Gypsy Spread Shuffle the deck and cut the deck into three piles from left to right. Replace the piles in the reverse order and lay out the cards from left to right laying 7 down at a time. The idea of this spread is that you tell the story of what is going to happen in the 7 card blocks. When you have laid out one lot, interpret these cards and then place them to one side. Then lay out the next set of 7 from left to right, interpret them, and so forth. You continue to read the cards until the deck has run out. Again, I don't use this spread myself as I like the process of elimination with the Tarot and I don't believe that all cards are relevant all of the time. This spread makes it so that you need to read every card in the deck. Either way, this is a popular spread used by professional Tarot readers, and you might find that once you get the knack of it, that it's very useful. I don't recommend that you use this spread for yourself or for the beginner as it can be a little messy, but it is certainly a good way to learn to read the cards in blocks.
