A few of his songs are: Sittin' In The Balcony, Drive In Show, Jeanie Jeanie Jeanie, Summertime Blues, C'mon Everybody, Teenage Heaven, Something Else

Eddie Cochran, was the youngest of five children and a guitar player from the age of twelve. In 1953 Eddie's family left their hometown in Oklahoma and moved to Bell Gardens, California. It was there Ed met a songwriter named Jerry Capehart. A friendship was formed and Ed recorded several of Jerry's songs.

His talent was noticed by Liberty Records and he was signed. In a cameo performance in "The Girl Can't Help It" he sang a song called "Twenty Flight Rock" which was supposed to be his first release for Liberty. That was changed to "Sittin' In The Balcony"which became a hit in early 57. He wasn't too happy with the sound though. In spring of 58 that changed when he recorded a song written by himself and Jerry Capehart, "Summertime Blues"and Eddie Cochran became a world talent.

Sadly, in 1960 while touring England, Eddie was taken from us in an auto accident. Song writer Sharon Sheely (Poor Little Fool) and Gene 'Be-Bop-a-Lula" Vincent were also in the car. Eddie died in Bath Hospital of severe head injuries and is buried in Hollywood. We miss you Ed.
P.S. Bobaloons favorite tune by Ed is "Three Steps To Heaven"

Yaaaah-yah-yah-yah-yaaah" man what great lyrics we had back then.

The name "The Diamonds" was dreamed up by one of the members of the group, Ted Kowalski back in 1953, when they were walking to their first job in the basement of a church in Canada. By 1956 they relaeased their first record "Why Do Fools Fall In Love". Yep a cover of The Teenagers song. Guess what? Their next one was a cover of a tune by The Willows, "Church Bells May Ring". Holy moly, the next tunes were covers of "Love, Love, Love" ( The Clovers) and "Ka Ding Dong" (The G-Clefs In 1957 they had their biggest hit with, you guessed it, "Little Darlin", another cover, (Maurice Williams and the Gladiolas) but not many people had ever heard the original so it was thought of as an original.

In December of 1957 they had a hit with an original song "The Stroll". Hey I'm not putting them down, you can't put down talent and they done a great job of everything they put out. One of my favorites is "She Say Oom Dooby Doom"
