You might be wondering what my credentials to offer accurate, quick-turn-around translations, reliable interpretations, and professional dubbing are. If you want to, you can read along for a brief explanation of my expertise, or you can go to read my full Résumé by clicking on the links below:

Translations
For starters, I have been a certified translator in the Official List of Translators and Interpreters of the U.S. Consulate General in Bolivia, for more than 15 years, and over two years ago I won a national competition to become the Official staff translator and interpreter for the U.S. Mission (including Embassy, agencies and departments represented therein). But it might be easier if I show you a sampling of some translations I did. Go ahead,

Glad to have you back...

Good. Now, what are the charges for translations? Well, they vary depending on the terminology, difficulty, jargon, deadlines agreed upon, etc., but if you go down to Quotations, you will get a pretty good idea of my rates, some of the lowest in the market.

Interpretations
Now, interpretations are a completely different story. When you translate, you set your pace to finish a translation within the deadline agreed upon with the client. How does this work for interpretations? Well, it doesn't. You must provide simultaneous interpretation of what is being said right on the spot; no time for revisions or looking up meanings in a dictionary.

I have been an interpreter for over 10 years, and recently have been granted membership in the Bolivian Interpreters Association. I have provided top-notch interpretation services for a series of international events in South America. For some examples, click here. Service rates vary depending on the length of the presentation, terminology used, etc., but I must say that I am one of the highest rated interpreters in my country and the one with some of the most reasonable rates available. For more specific quotations, please go down to Quotations down below.

Video Dubbing
Video dubbing may sound like a piece of cake once you've got the script in the target language. Well, think again. This is a highly sophisticated video production phase, involving computerized video and sound editing equipment, provided by the client. There have been times when I had to do several takes (in studio) for over two hours for a 30 second spot. This, though, is among my expert services, usually provided for documentary production, NGO video reports, publicity, etc. Rate go by the hour. See
here for some examples of my dubbing work. Something to remember: the translated script must be provided by the costumer, or I can do it, under a different item of an agreement. For more specifics on quotes, refer down to Quotations
