Hello! and welcome to my rabbitry. I am Sarah Wright and the proud owner of Wind Spirit Farms. WSF originated in Michigan in 1995. I started with a Holland Lop my parents purchased from Cathy Jenks (also a ND breeder) and from there i was addicted. I then aquired a ND Himi buck from the Bond family. I struggled with the Holland breeding (ie no babies) so I decided to sell my Hollands and stick to the dwarfs. From there it went from 1 dwarf to SEVERAL. I maintained my herd while I attended college at Michigan State and when I relocated to Southern Indiana to take a job with Tyson Foods, it was only time when my herd finally got to join me. The shows may not be as big here but the quality is just as good if not better.

I may not be the best breeder but i do consider this a hobby. I am not here for the points or the name and I love it when I sell stock to a newcomer and it become a winning rabbit. Winning is fun, but not the main point. I have made some amazing friends in the rabbit world and can't wait to have kids of my own and share the experience. I strive to keep my rabbits as close to the standard as possible with the resources I can afford. I am proud of what I have accomplished and hope that I can help anyone who wants to join the ND world. This is a fun and challenging breed, but if you are up to it.. it can be a very rewarding experience.

In January of 09, my fiance and I will be welcoming our 1st child into the world.. I am due Jan 22nd and we can't wait! It was quite a surprise as we found out we were expecting on 2 months after becoming engaged...but it's well worth it and thankfully the wedding was already in planning stages when we found out so we didn't have to change the date of the wedding either.. which we be perfect as we will have 3/5 months to prepare for the baby after the wedding.
