“You mean he called you Britney Spears??” Lana asked in disbelief the next morning.
“Yea, but that’s not what I called to talk about.” I replied. “I wanted advice. I have to go to class in a minute.”
“Advice?” Lana questioned.
“Yea. Should I dump him? Should I talk to him??” I told her confused. “What should I do?”
“Gosh! I don’t know!! Um…. why don’t you…he does that a lot doesn’t he??”
“Yea, kinda.”
“Is it worth it?”
“I don’t know! But I have to go”
“Alright. Good luck.” Lana exclaimed.
“Thanks! Bye!”
“Bye!”
I hung up the phone. She gave such bad advice. The only the she said was ‘was it worth it??’ I don’t know if it’s worth it. Is he so constantly irate that it isn’t’ worth it?? He does tend to get mad at me a lot!!
“I think you already know what you should do.” Kemp told me when I asked for his advice. “What do you want me to tell you??”
“A definite answer.” I replied laughing.
“What answer??”
“Maybe that I’m not over reacting and that he really is – no I can’t say it!!”
“A jerk??”
“Yea,” I replied hanging my head low defeated.
“Well, in that case. He’s a jerk. He shouldn’t treat you like that.”
“But he used to treat me so well.”
“How many guys have you ever gone out with?”
“Well, really only him.”
“So would really know how well he treated you??”
“I guess not.”
“So you wouldn’t know how bad he’s treating you now. I don’t know everything about this relationship and I don’t know him, but I do know I wouldn’t treat a girl like that.”
“You wouldn’t?”
“Of course not.” Kemp exclaimed. “I wouldn’t just blow up at a girl for no reason at all!!”
“Is that what he’s doing?” He nodded his head. “It is isn’t it?”
“Think about it Elisabeth. Would you be better off without him? Would you have more fun? Could you find somebody better that you could be with all the time rather than have to worry about missing him??”
“Yea. I could.” I tried to hold my head up. “I think I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna dump him. I have no earthly idea how, but I’m going to.”
