A little history...

The bodies of many missing top reporters are discovered, including Tana Moon and Lois Lane.

Huntress becomes the Don of the Bertinelli crime family, originally in hopes of tempering their activities less towards crime. She is joined by recent spouse Hero (Croyd Crenson). Her idyllic plans to reform her family are eventually wiped away over the following years as she becomes more and more cemented into the role of crime lord.

While battling Shadowmaster's Horde, Captain Atom, Black Condor and Robotman are killed, their bodies recovered. Changeling, Astra, Batgirl, Atom and Bladerunner are also killed, though their bodies are never recovered.
Superboy officially takes the title of Superman.
The Church of Jesus Christ, Latter-Day Saints begins a heavy conversion drive beginning this year and continuing for the next ten years, drawing in nearly every citizen of the U.S. upset with Luthor's presidency.

LDS church is now the most dominant western church, and runs the whitehouse, legislature, names three supreme court justices...
Death of the Kents.
Outraged with America's new political regime, and in grief over the loss of the Kents, Superwoman retires, taking herself and family to the Fortress, dubbing it "New Krypton" and claiming autonomy from other governments.

JLA disbands, quickly followed by almost every other team.
Steel takes some JLA members and combines them with Watchmen members still interested in heroing.
Supergrrl becomes Superwomyn.
Alan Scott adopts the codename Sentinel and, with the aid of other Green Lanterns, designs and creates New Oa.

The Magic War

Tim Hunter's Other dupes Tefe Holland into joining him on a crusade to cleanse evil--starting with the Royal Family of England. They succeed in wiping out all but one, the 12 year old daughter of Prince Andrew, Princess Justine. Parliament also falls.
John Constantine begins gathering the mystical community to stop him. The situation eventually escalates into a mystical war of dire proportions.
Queen Hippolyta, Neron, Jason Blood, the male aspect of Dr. Occult, Naiad, Dr. Fate, Swamp Thing- Alec Holland, Mister E, Ragman, Looker, Celestial Guardian, Dove III- Renee Montoya, Black Orchid, Tattooed Man, Halo, Raven, the Leymen, Omen, Circe, Kid Eternity, Eclipso, Encantadora, Felix Faust, Flora Faust, Tim Hunter's Other, Secret, Merlin, the Wizard, Tannarak, Teekl, and Wotan are all slain.
The Realms, and Lords, of Order and Chaos are merged, becoming the Realms and Lords of Balance.
Etrigan is bound to Rose, the female aspect of Dr. Occult.
The Meditteranean Sea dries up and is transformed into a rainforest upon the deaths of Naiad and Alec Holland.
Faust loses his battle with his own inner darkness, and becomes a villain like his father.

A new Black Orchid is created.
Balance is created.
The Trenchcoat Brigade now consists of John Constantine, Phantom Stranger, Rose Occult, Oliver, Mister Majestic and Tim Hunter.
Supervixen assumes her father Neron's position as a Lord of Hell.

Britain officially becomes a Monarchy again.
John Constantine "retires" from the Trenchcoat Brigade to assume the role of guardian and regent over Queen Justine.

The Justice Society reforms, utilizing New Oa as a central base of operations, Wildcat resumes the role of leadership.

Conflict of interest, as well as death of Aquaman, causes Batman to disband League.
Koryak becomes King of Atlantis.
Queen Justine and John Constantine wed.
