Can someone tell me when St. Swithins day is? If it rains then, it will rain for
40 days and nights. I'm sure that it must be St. Swithins day somewhere in the world.
It is raining again in Tsuruoka. It hasn't stopped in ages. It's a bit depressing
all this rain right at the start of my holiday.
So, today's classes went quite well. I was especially proud of my high school kids
class....we had a lot of fun. I made them design their own inn and then try to convince
others to stay at it. It worked really well. I think they had fun.
Yesterday I think I ran over a bit of glass with my bike. My tires seem a bit soft
so if I go out tomorrow I had better pump them up. I don't know why I mention it,
just that I don't have to go out tomorrow, but I like to get some things for my party
later in the week.
The office was quite quiet today. The manager wasn't there as she's already on holiday
and our head office didn't call every 5 minutes so it was a quiet place. I got a
lot of work done, preparing for classes next Saturday and the Tuesday after.
After work I wanted to go out with my students, but no one had any money. It was quite
depressing. I'd have stood people a drink or two, but they didn't ask...or maybe
I didn't offer. I guess I should have. Oh well.
And that's about it for me this day. Tune in tomorrow to see how much I actually
get done!
