August 6, 2000 - Sunday
I started reading a new book (Black and Blue) last night after I wrote my entry and
I discovered that the poor murder victim was a fan of The Crash Test Dummies. A
Scot who liked a Canadian Band.
Today I did laundry. Lots of laundry. I hadn't done any for two weeks. I even did
my bedroom curtains. They were definitely in need of it! The water was black afterwards.
I just hope that I can rehang them properly.
After I did that I went cd player shopping. I didn't buy one, but I looked at a couple.
I decided to go to Mycal Otaru to see if there was a film I could see, but the times
were all wrong. I want to see The Talented Mr Ripley, but the finishing time was
after the last train home.
I wandered around, tried to find myself a new magazine, but couldn't, but I did find
some cds. I got 3 new ones, and I'm looking forward to listening to them.
When I came home tonight I took a bath, and then I called my sister. It was nice
to talk to her, and I talked to Katie-chan and Joe too.
After I called them, I called my friend Taeko and we had a good long chat. I miss
her a lot and I hardly ever get to see her now.
Also things that happened today...I put one of Van's tapes in my VCR and it got eaten.
That was really sad. I don't think my VCR is very happy right now either. When
I rewind a tape, it makes a terrible noise. Sigh. I hope it rights itself....I
bought a few groceries at the mall...including some bread for toast and stuff. I'm now
watching a really scary episode of X-Files set in a hamburger restaurant. Grrr.
And then during the commercial there's a Dairy Queen ad! Just what I want to see,
more hamburgers!
That's about it for today. I'm off to Sapporo tomorrow.
