August 13, 2000 - Sunday
Today was a sort of non-day. I got up really late, around 12. Then I did laundry.
Lots of laundry. I took down the kitchen curtains and washed them. They were brown,
and very ugly. They are now white. I also washed the blue curtains, but I don't
think I'll hang them back up. They make the place look untidy or cluttered or something.
After a long time, I went and got groceries. It was a nice walk. The bad thing is
that when I was there I went to the bakery in the store. I was going to buy some
stuff, but it was crawling with bugs. Yuck. I didn't buy anything after that.
When I got home I watched a bit of Cabaret which was on the telly. Then I popped
in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I like that film. It's a bit silly, but fun. After
it finished I discovered that Cleopatra was on again, so I watched it. I didn't
really like it, but it was okay.
I have no plans for tomorrow yet. I'm thinking of what I can do. I want to buy a
new VCR since mine is a bit dicey. It works, but for how long? The Insider and The
Talented Mr Ripley are both playing in Otaru, I'd like to see them both, but both
in one day? Hmm.
A generally quiet day. One nice phone call, a little earlier than usual :-)
