June 16, 2000 - Friday
I just got off the phone with my friend. We had a bit of a bag session. It was great
to hear from her. It was also good to hear the phone ring. I'm not sure how many
people have my phone number!
Work today was fine. A class cancelled, that was a bit sad, but the ones I had went
well. I've been having fun meeting students. I'm having trouble remembering names.
My back is a bit better today. It still hurts, but now it's a dull throb instead
of a sharp pain.
The weather here has been really good. It's so nice I really don't want to go in
to work! There are lots of stalls up along the covered malls on the way to work
and I'd just love to poke my nose into all of them. Maybe on Sunday?
A week ago I was in Tsuruoka, eating ramen! It's been a big change for me. I miss
everyone terribly, but I'm doing okay. It is interesting finding my way around a
new city, discovering new stores and places to go. I'm sure I'll always miss Tsuruoka,
and my friends there though.
I'm off to bed soon. I've a busy day tomorrow. Night!
