Happy Guy Fawkes Day!
Today was Doctor day for me. I finally went to the doctor. He told me off, via my
manager, that I should have gone sooner. Yeah, I know, but it's hard to go when
you can't understand anything. He was a pretty cool guy, he gave me written notes
of when to take the medicines in English...but speaking of medicines....yikes. I have enough
powders and liquids to last for a month...at least it seems like it. I got a shot
to stop me coughing and it really helped. I'm so glad. My body just hurt from too
much coughing. My manager and her boyfriend took me to the doctor this morning, so a
big thank you to them! THANK YOU!
The rest of the day I didn't do too much. I came home, then went out for a meal as
the drugs have to be taken after food. I came back, took my meds then did laundry
and watched a cute little Janeane Garofolo movie called The Matchmaker. It was a
lot of fun, and quite sweet.
Later I watched a documentary about the Muhammad Ali-George Foreman boxing match in
Africa. It was interesting despite my not liking boxing at all.
I decided to go out for supper too. I went to a nearby restaurant but I made a mistake.
I didn't ask what kind of sauce the mushroom and shrimp spaghetti I'd ordered had...of
course it was tomato. The plastic food outside looked like a different sauce. I hope I don't have a reaction to it...but my skin already feels a bit itchy. I did
have a cup of almond au lait which was heavenly. Yum.
I came home and tried (unsuccessfully) to find something on TV. I might go to bed
soon. I'm a bit tired and I have to go to my Japanese lesson tomorrow. I hope I
can get out to do a bit of Christmas shopping too.
Anyway, night all. I'm getting better! Hurray. I'm so glad.
