April 15, 2001 - Sunday
Today was an unusual but great day. It started off very well, I stayed up late. I
didn't mean to, but somehow, when I went to bed it was starting to get light!
Anyway, I slept for a long time, got up and went to the toilet and went back and slept
some more. It was great. I finally got up around 1:30 and did my laundry. That's
pretty much as usual.
Then I took a shower and got ready to go out. I caught a train to Sapporo and took
the subway to Odori Park. I got out and popped into The Body Shop.
Then I walked to Tanuki Arcade and found the 6th hall. I saw the Habana restaurant
right away and climbed up the stairs. I met Natalia, a woman that I met on the internet.
It was her birthday party and she'd invited me along. It was a hoot. I met a few people and ate some great Cuban food. I even tried salsa dancing, but I was truly
terrible at it. I met some of her friends and it was just a nice time.
The party broke up just after 9 and I walked back to the subway station. I took a
subway to the railroad station and then a train back to Otaru.
In Otaru I decided to go to the video store and rent a couple of videos. I got Being
John Malkovich, which I'm watching as I write. It's great. I also got Sleepy Hollow.
And so that was my Sunday. It was just so great to do something new and different.
Tomorrow, what shall I do?
