February 22, 2001 - Thursday
It's still quite warm out there. Tonight it was 0 degrees and the snow is melting,
melting. It's nice but it is really slippery in some places.
Today was okay. The student who booked late last night didn't show up. We called
him and he wanted to reschedule, but my free time didn't suit him. The other classes
went quite well, I'm happy to say!
It was also Justin's birthday today. I gave him his present. It was kind of silly.
I gave him a Drew Barrymore keychain and some different types of snacks, mostly
British or similar to British. For example, some salt and vinegar chips, toffee,
malt balls, and a Cadbury's chocolate bar. I think he liked it. He said, "I'm fair chuffed,"
so I think that's a good sign. We also bought cake and his girlfriend baked him a
carrot cake too, so there was an abundance of cake in the office tonight, but it
was very nice.
I had to stay late tonight to do some paperwork. I finally left the office after
10:30. That seems so late to me now!
Tonight for breakfast and again for supper I ate some Earl Grey Bread. The hotel
bakery makes it as their special bread this month. It was incredible, really incredible.
I love Earl Grey tea, and this bread just tasted really good. I wonder how it would taste toasted? I may have to buy more and find out!
