March 1, 2001 - Thursday
A semi busy day today. I had quite a few classes, but none were as trying as yesterdays.
Those three kids classes in a row are very difficult.
The melt continued today. It was very scary going to work today as the ice was very
slippery on the hill. Of course, there are no sidewalks. I made it, but it was
hairy in places.
Yesterday I promised a student that I'd bring her some Canadian music. Well, I remembered to look for a tape for her. I was in a bit of a bad mood before work so I listened to a bit of it. It was a hoot. The Rankin Family "You Feel the Same Way Too". I was singing along. If I'd had more privacy I'd have danced along too. It was great to hear some of my old favourites---Gowan, Zappacosta, Leonard Cohen, and Barenaked Ladies, amongst others. A hoot.
I did a bit of prep for tomorrow today. I also stayed late to do paperwork. Now
that I'm a touch busier, I've got lots of things to do.
The walk home wasn't as bad as the walk to work. I don't know if it was because it
was dark and harder to see the ice or quieter or what, but I made it home reasonably
easily. I raided a convenience store before I came home, I had French fries and
slimy mushroom miso soup.
Anyway, it was a quiet day, and that's all I have to say for now! Night.
