January 20, 2002 - Sunday
A glorious day weather-wise.
It was one of those wonderful warm, sunny and clear days that you get occasionally
in winter. Visibility was amazing and the mountains looked very beautiful covered
in snow.
We took a long time getting up this morning. We were both quite tired. When we did
get up we ate breakfast and then decided to go out. Fumihiko's Mum wanted to go
to her mother's house so we drove her there and visited for a few minutes. Then
we were off.
First we went to the pet store to get Gombei some food and then we went to the hardware
store. I bought a clothes dryer rack and a rack for skirts.
Then we went to Mikawa and I bought a mattress for the apartment for under my futon,
and a shelf for the toilet room. We also bought covers for our new quilts. They
are quite nice, blue and white. I hope that I still like them in a year or so! Didn't
get pillows or bottom sheets. They didn't have any sheets to match, and the pillows,
well, I'm still trying to decide what to get there.
We had supper at a Korean Fast Food restaurant and it was very nice. I really enjoyed
it.
Then we took my new stuff to the apartment and drove back to pick up Fumihiko's Mum.
She made us some supper and it was rather nice.
We spent the evening watching tv, particularly Golden Eye. Pierce Brosnan is so darn
cool as Bond. I'll likely go to bed soon and go to the apartment in the morning.
I want to go into the school and do a bit of work if I'm up for it. I don't know
if I will be, but I'll try! And that's it. Have a lovely evening/day. Bye for now.....
