September 8, 2002 - Sunday
Sunny and very warm.
A mostly good day today.
We stayed up really late last night watching an Al Pacino movie on TV, Carlito's Way.
I didn't like it very much, but then again, I don't like Al Pacino very much either!
This morning we slept way, way late because of that. Fumihiko's Mum called us a
few times, but we didn't answer her!
We were going to go to the French restaurant in Mikawa, but we were too late so we
went to the mall and had KFC. Then we did a bit of shopping and decided that tomorrow
night we'll go and see Insomnia. I wonder if that is a good idea as I dislike Al
Pacino (see above) and Robin Williams! Still, I think it's supposed to be good. At the
mall I bought 4 used videos. They had the entire collection of Twin Peaks on video
too and I was sorely tempted, but I didn't have enough money! Fumihiko and I did
have a small spat when we were there and caused a bit of tension, but it blew over soon.
We came back to Tsuruoka and went to Dengeki-Soko. Sadly, they are closing down.
That's the place where I bought my TV and (first) VCR, my kerosene heater, my stereo,
cassette Walkman, and a few other bits and bobs around my home there. They said
that they will reopen in a big super store later, but I'm not sure that they will. Anyway,
Fumihiko saw a stereo and DVD player combo so he got that and I got myself a coffee
press. I've always wanted one, and now I have it. I just have to figure out how
to use it!!!
Then, we went to Milk for something to drink. The KFC was still making us thirsty.
We brought the stuff home and put it in our room then went
out again. We went to the Mikawa Restaurant and had steak. It was lovely. Then, we
went to Mikawa shopping center again and played games in the Amusement Center. Poor
Fumihiko really wants to win the Jackpot, but it keeps eluding him. I played our
old favourite game, but I also played a few others for some variety.
Then we went to my apartment so Fumihiko could take a shower for work tomorrow. The
hot water tank is still out of order here. Then, we came home. I'm writing this,
and hoping that I can get my modem to keep me connected long enough to post this
and last night's entry. Fumihiko is trying to set up his new toy!
