Hot and sunny, but batten down the hatches, there's a typhoon coming!
An okay day. This morning I was woken up by the phone ringing. Sigh. Ritsuko, my ex-coworker was calling me to make arrangements for our lunch. We made arrangements and then I let Fumihiko talk to her to give her directions! However, mine would have been easier!
I tried to nap again, but couldn't, so I got up and got dressed. I started to wash a new sheet, and did a few last minute cleaning up things.
Ritsuko arrived and Fumihiko gave us some coffee, dear guy that he is! We chatted and then decided to go to Paris Cinq for lunch. Ritsuko and I had a great meal. I had pork and she had chicken. It was yummy. After lunch she had to go back, so I went back to the apartment. Fumihiko and I decided what to do, and decided to go fishing. He went to the house and picked up our fishing equipment and then picked me up.
We went to Kamo Port for about 2 and a half hours. I enjoyed myself. I caught 3 fugu, also known as blowfish, and a sea bream that was very, very small. I threw back the fugu, but Fumihiko made me keep the bream. He caught a couple of fish and a crab! I told him he had to cook the crab. I don't know how.
When we finished, we came back to Tsuruoka and went to S-Mall. I went to the hundred yen shop and got a few things for the apartment. I got some plastic trays and shelves, a dish to put under my lovely new houseplant (courtesy of Ritsuko) and reflectors for my bike spokes.
We hit the grocery store after that where I picked up some mushroom soup...Campbells of course! and a few other essentials for our life. Living with Fumihiko in our own place helps me realize how much food and coffee we go through!
We went for dinner to Itchi-gyu tonight. It was really nice. We had a lot of chicken and duck, but also a bit of pork and beef.
At home Fumihiko carried the groceries to the kitchen and put them up on the counter, where some of them promptly fell off! Yikes. Thank goodness I didn't buy eggs today.
We had a relaxing evening at home tonight. I read some of my book, Strangers by Dean Koontz, and Fumihiko talked at me about the coming typhoon and the Olympics. I'm afraid I only listened with one ear...or maybe just half an ear?
I've got a busy day tomorrow so I should go. Have a good evening all.
Night night.
