All right heres the deal...theres been some changes again in our band. Blake will no longer be a part of soft spoken. For now, we arent gonna have a singer. We are gonna only focus on the music parts, then when we are ready we are gonna get a demo to a singer to see if they dig our shit. So....we are taking a break on the web site. There wont be any more updates for a long time....but when there is, it will be updates from a band ready to gig....with a singer, and a demo. So wish us luck in these next couple months or so. For now, check out another great band....SIMPLISTIC...trust me, youre gonna want to get to know about these guys. (www.simplelines.cjb.net) Thanks for all of everyones support. hello people. well skylar and jack are back from the world series (7th place) so we can practice as a whole band and hopefully get some kind of recording done in the next 2 weeks. we are now one step closer to shows because i ,blake, got my new amp. we are anxiously awaiting the purchases of jacks and skylars amps. any way we put up some new pics so check them out in the photos section. later

Well, the reason we haven't updated in a while is because there has been quite a few changes in the band. First, Jack will no longer be singing. He's going to play guitar alongside Blake. So then we were looking for a vocalist. We had our friend Joel come over just to hang out and jam, and it turned out that he is the sh*t guitarist! And he fit right in. We started and completed our best song yet that day in about two hours. We'd like to introduce, Joel Rabara to the band. We now have 3 guitarists, 1 bass, and a drummer. We're very excited, and in about month we should be fully equipped and ready for everyone to hear us. We currently have 3 songs, not all completely down though. As for the singer, we're going to have Jack and Joel both sing for now, if it works out, then thats how it will be. If we find someone who is better, then we'll accept them. We took some more pictures also, but none of joel. I might put them up anyway, and i'll probably leave the olds ones there too. Anyway, later guys...

We had practice today, and another tomorrow! Today we finished our new song, "Fold", and it is really sick! It's more fast paced then our previous songs, and it has some great beats and riffs. We're hopefully recording a 2 or 3 song demo before school starts. So we're excited about that! We all went and checked out Simplistic Friday night at Cafe Paris, and they put on a killer show, again. We suggest you go check em out! They played with two other great bands also, Release and Sunday's Delimma. Anyway, see you later.

By the way, I'm here at my dad's, and if you have like regular internet explorer, then our site might looked hella jacked up to you. There is only about 10 or so pics, and they are all pretty good and live. I am also going to hopefully change the front page picture, because it's getting old. Well we finally had practice. It had been at least 2 and a half weeks since our last one. Anyway we started up a new song. In my opinion its the best one we've ever put together. (The vocals are the best part) Unfortunately, Skylar and Blake are leaving for Oregan on friday and Brad is going to Camp Sacramento for about a week. And, the day Skylar and Blake get back, im going down to San Diego. So we wont be able to finish the song for probably another two weeks. That means there wont be many more updates until they get back. Well thats about it. Talk to you later.

Saturday night, Skylar, Blake, and I went down to Inferno's pizza to check out this awesome band Simplistic. The show was killer. Simp is a hella young, and new band. I suggest to all of you to go check out their site, Click Here, and download some songs. They are a great band (my new favorite band), and are still only 18 and 19 yrs.

It's pretty much done, but we're adding another solo to it. We have about to more songs insight that are either already written, but haven't really been worked on.

Jack finally got his PA!! Well actually it came alot sooner than expected. We really weren't expecting it until sometime next week, but it came on Friday. It's hella awesome. Also I'm working on making a slight design change on the site... Hopefully, if I figure it out, I'll have it done by the end of the weekend. If not, then maybe never... But it should look cool. We wanted you all to check out this local Sac band called Sypher. They're an awesome band, and hella cool people. We joined their street team right after we heard their music. So go to their site, www.syphermusic.com, and check em' out and download some songs. They're playing at a huge local show with "Beat Officers", "The Council", "Stitch", and many more on June 2nd at Body Bizarre in Citrus Heights. It's a free all-day show, all ages, from noon to 7 pm. Sorry people who check this site often... we haven't updated in like forever. Sorry! Anyway, just wanted to say whats up and again thank you for checkin us out. We're currently working on our third "completed" song since we added Blake. It's pretty tight, and the vocals are in my opinion the best so far. Im really excited for everyone to hear us and let us know what you think. We're trying to figure out how to get mp3's up here, but we don't know how yet... But soon we will hopefully have a intro with guitar in it. That will be cool. Next, we're thinking of covering a song, so I made a poll to the left, please vote! Also, just wanted to say that we have a pretty cool performance that is basically garunteed at Mira Loma next year! So thats cool. And we're shooting to record our first full-length demo in December, if not sooner (hopefully sooner), but it all depends how much $$ we make during the summer. peace.

And some chick came out to our practice and like interviewed us and took pictures. She's making a magizine on rock music for school, and she chose us!! How awesome, free publicity... Hey everyone. I just wanted to say whats up to all of you who actually come to our web site. Weve been together for about 5 months now and we havent had one complete song for you to listen to...yet we have 450 hits on our site. I just wanted to say that now that we have a complete band you will be hearing us a lot more. We are working, now, on our first song called "Over Nothing." Lots of news...
First, I'd like everyone to know, that Blake Hess has joined us! Blake will be the guitarist and Jack will now sing. Blake is Skylar's little brother, and is pretty good at the guitar! He has been added to the bio and everything...

Second, pictures have been taken, and they are sweet! All four of us have single photos and we have a few group and live ones too! They will be up on the site by the end of Spring break, because I have to have them developed and scanned. So check back soon ya'll!

Well, things didn't go exactly as planned with Scott and Dave, but we hope to get another guitarist soon. So, for now we are going to probably put off the party, on the account that we dont have a band yet. So our demo will probably be put off for a little while too. To all of you people who were hoping to hear us (all those lots of you people) we are terribly sorry, but trust us, we will get a demo out as soon as possible. So, for now, just sit tight and we will keep you updated on whats happening with Soft Spoken.
