CONCERT DATES

1972

Dec. 4: Municipal Auditorium, Mobile, Alabama
Dec. 5: Municipal Coliseum, Jacksonville, Florida

(Thanks to Alice UK and Cat  for the info)

"Then And Now" has dropped down to no. 57 on the official album charts of the UK as of December 2, two months after the album was released. I know this is a big disappointment to many fans, but we have to remember that the album has sold to gold, and it peaked at no. 5 on the charts only three weeks after it was released. This is not bad at all thinking of the fact it has been 15 years since David released an album in the UK.
10 weeks since its release, on December 9, "Then and Now" was at no. 63. This is still better than Mick Jagger's solo album that was released only a couple of weeks ago.
On December 16, David's album has climbed one spot, to no. 62, so he seems to be under some of those Christmas trees this year.
On the day before Christmas, on December 23, "Then And Now" was at no. 64.
Unfortunately we have to say, on December 30, the album dropped out of the official UK charts. Hopefully it will re-enter soon.

New concert posted:
David will be appearing in the legendary Sammy's Showroom at Harrah's Reno on December 14. Join for a spectacular show filled with great hits like, "I Think I Love You" and "C'mon, Get Happy" plus some exciting new surprises that will keep you spellbound. Make your reservations today by calling 1-800-648-3690.

David's 2002 tour:
According to rumors David seems to be playing the Paper Mill Playhouse, in Millburn, NJ on April 8, 2002.  Just a hop and skip from his childhood home in West Orange, NJ. Tickets are apparently being sold already, and you can call (973) 376-4343.
The Atlantic City press has also announced that David will be playing at the Tropicana in Atlantic City on March 8 and 9.
But remember, the concerts have not been confirmed by DavidCassidy.com.

Santa Claus Suit From Original "Miracle On 34th Street" To Be Offered By Sotheby's In New York On Evening Of December 6th, 2001. Online And Live Events Hosted By KidsCharities.org To Benefit Numerous Children's Chairites Worldwide.

Online Auction On Sothebys.com From December 3rd to December 13th. Gala Event And Live Auction, "A Night Of Miracles" On December 6th.

New York, NY-- This December, Sotheby's and KidsCharities.org are pleased to host both live and online events to benefit numerous children's charities around the world, including The Dutchess of York's non-profit organization, Chances For Children. Highlighting the events will be the sale of the Santa Claus suit from the original Academy Award winning film, "Miracle On 34th Street". Following the unveiling in the window at Macy's Herald Square on December 4th by celebrities including Sarah Ferguson, the Dutchess of York, David Cassidy, Reggie Jackson, and George Jones, the Santa suit will be offered by Sotheby's New York on the evening of December 6th during a "Night Of Miracles"-- a star-studded gala and auction including spectacular one-of-a-kind items and experiences. The Santa Claus suit is estimated to sell for $20/30,000, and the proceeds from its sale have been generously donated by
Americabilia.com.

"Miracle On 34th Street is the quintessential holiday movie and a wonderful example of the best of American cinema- where whimsy and joy can take center stage for two hours," commented Lee Dunbar, Senior Vice President of Sotheby's Collectibles Department. "This Santa suit is an icon of the fantasy, wonder and pagentry of those happy moments."

Additional highlights from the live auction include a day behind-the-scenes at Wimbledon and an hour in the BBC commentary booth with John McEnroe; a private one-hour boxing lesson with Sugar Ray Leonard in Los Angeles; David Cassidy singing "I Think I Love You" to a lucky winner, Yankee Stadium Skybox for 16 people to watch a 2002 Major League Baseball game, a weekend stay at Skibo Castle where Madonna was recently married, including first class roundtrip airfare for two; a Christopher Radko decorated $10,000 Christmas tree; wardrobe items worn by top celebrities, and much, much more.

Tickets for the gala event and live auction can be purchased through KidsCharities.org or by calling (702) 450-9073, and the cost is $150 per person of which $100 is tax deductible. For information on bidding in the auction, please contact Sotheby's representatives: Brad Bentoff at (212) 606-7252 or Roberta Louckx at (212) 606-7415. Sponsors include: Wells Fargo Foundation, Sprint, Phillips Van Heusen, Pulver.com, Harrah's Entertainment, National Airlines, Christopher Radko, Swarovski, Ethel M Chocolates, DO and CO, Bacardi USA, and Johnson & Wales University, among others.

The online auction, on Sothebys.com from December 3rd to the 13th, will feature a one-of-a-kind "Partridge Family" Ovation S771 Black Baladeer Special Guitar autographed by David Cassidy; a private tour of the secret David Copperfield Museum with Copperfield as a guide, a Ralph Lauren designed outfit worn by Robert Redford in "The Great Gatsby", walk-on parts on hit TV series; a life-size chocolate Santa with sleigh full of chocolate gifts by Jacques Torres; VIP tickets to the 2002 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade; Harry Potter memorabilia; and a luncheon with the Dutchess of York, among many other unique and exciting lots.

KidsCharities.org is striving to "change the face of fundraising", according to KidsCharities.org's Founder Sue Shifrin-Cassidy. "We have offered companies, celebrities and benefactors-- everyone-- the opportunity to contribute items to the events. Fifty percent-- half!-- of the net proceeds of money raised by auctioned items will be contributed to the donor's designated favorite 501(c)3 children's charity in an effort to make this the most far-reaching fundraiser ever done for children. In light of recent events, $50 of each ticket sold to the live event will be contributed to funds benefiting children and families of those impacted by the events of September 11th. Moreover, now this event is even more vital since many of the benefiting charities have been forced to cancel fundraisers and need the money more than
ever.
