ALPHA SQUADRON COMICS

Sizzle announces on television that he intends to open a mansion for the protection of mutants, as well as revealing himself to have been protecting the town under the alias of the Phantom. He also proposes to his girlfriend, Blizzard, and asks her to join the team he is starting to help protect mutants from humans that would harm them, as well as protecting humans from mutants that would harm them, the Alpha Squadron.

At first, the team was comprised of mutants Sizzle knew and personally invited to the team. That team was Blizzard, his friend Joe, someone he met in high school (Scott), and Scott's brother (Nick). Sizzle decided that this team would not be enough, and started to take interviews of other mutants. Since he had acquired a great deal of fame as the Phantom, a lot of people showed up for these interviews. Unfortunately, not many of them were mutants, and some that WERE mutants had fairly insignificant powers not useful in battle (walking through half inch walls, flying but only for one minute of the day, etc.). Sizzle did manage to find Rachael, a shape-shifter, and Lindsay, a fire-controller. He also added Forty, a box-smasher. But that's mainly because he's insane.

Later on, a frustrated Sizzle confessed his annoyance to Blizzard, who comforted him by telling him they would find more mutants in time. And also, that she had added his brother, James, to the team. Sizzle was not amused.
