Kori led a pretty simple life. She saw her brother, Kevin (ShrapneL), only occasionally. One day, out of the blue, someone attacked their house to get Kevin's attention, making sure he was on his way there when the bomb exploded. Her parents were killed instantly, her house destroyed, and Kori was buried under a pile of rubble, crushing her lower torso. Kevin arrived shortly after, and took Kori to a friend of his in town. Before she started slipping into unconsciousness and then into death, he asked her if she wanted to be saved, even if it meant she would be half robot. She agreed. When she regained consciousness, she was half robot.

Now, she helps her brother with his mercenary work by monitoring him via computer (which she can now link up to). She didn't like the idea at first, but she knew he wouldn't be able to change, and she now had nobody else.
