With the end of my career on the JET Program, the regular season of "Everyone's Situation is Different" comes to a close. Hope you've been enjoying it. It's been fantastic hearing the support from everyone over email, in my survey, and at various end-of-year drunken bacchanals. To answer a question that's been cropping up a lot lately: E.S.I.D. WILL CONTINUE I've got several comics all planned out that I haven't had time to draw up, and it would be a shame to let good strips just fester and die in the forgotten recesses of my mind. I'm going to go home and do a little traveling until the middle of September or so, then come right back to Japan and continue to look for gainful employment, probably in that legendary city of love, Osaka. I'm going to keep putting strips up on this site, at least one a month if I can. I figure as long as I'm living in the nastiest city in the world's most backwards first-world country, the ideas will just keep flowing. Hell, I'd probably be able to write a sitcom. So keep checking the site periodically for more merry ESID mirth from Earth, and be sure to pass the site address on to all the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed new arrivals -- it'll be sure to take some of the bush out of their tails. Good luck to all you newbies on your JET experience, and good luck to all of you who, like me, are setting off from the JET Program to find new paths. No matter where you go or what you do, don't forget to take your sense of humor along. It's the best damn thing I brought with me to Japan, and I'm sure there are a lot of JETs that can say the same.
But then again, everyone's situation is different.
Keep laughing, Earth Bennett
