Now That I've Found You : A Collection
Album Information
Alison broke through to multi-platinum sales on the back of the hit sinlge "When You Say Nothing at All." The album was released on the same date as Shania Twain's the "The Woman in Me" debuting higher - #31 to #67 - then the then unknown Twain's album. The album was nominated for CMA Album of the Year but was disqualified because most the songs had been recorded by Alison on previous Alison albums. In a twist of fate, the replacement nominee - Patty Loveless' "When Fallen Angels Fly" - won the award.
So Long So Wrong
Album Information
Every major label in Nashville wanted Alison to sign with them after her sucess with "When You Say Nothing at All". They were going to make her a comptempary country music superstar. Instead she stayed with the independent Rounder Recorders and continued to work with Union Station making Bluegrass music. She even allowed Union Station's new guitarist Dan Tyminski to take the lead vocals on multiple songs. Country radio ignored the music on this album leading many to believe Alison had made a mistake staying with Bluegrass. They would be proven wrong.
Forget About It
Album Information
This more pop country album was a solo turn for Alison. While her record label could not afford to promote her music on country radio, it could afford to make videos. Both "Forget About It" and "Maybe" received heavy play on CMT and helped sales along. Though Union Station did not work much with Alison on the album it did appeared in her videos.
New Favorite

On "New Favorite" Alison gives Dan lead on three tracks and Ron one on this traditional yet comptempary album of work.
