8:00 pm The first tournament starts next week!! The course for all 3 tours(Chmp PGA, Pro PGA, Pro Buy.com) is Cog Hill(VGA or LS-they're the same). I'll be giving the course conditions this weekend. If you plan on playing at the Champ level, you do not need to compete in Q-School. If you plan on playing at the Pro skill level, you need to finish 4-rounds of Q-School before you can compete in any LinksLS PGA Tour tournament. |

5:00 pm I've altered some things on the Rules page. I've sent out an email to the members that explains it all. The files I now need after each round are: .ver file, .rec file, Score.txt file and at the end of each tournament the players' .pin file. In the email, I'd like your TourID#,Name,Score,Tournament/Round written in it. |

6:10 pm Hi everyone!! I have decided that I am going to close memberships after 16 people. I've got 14 people signed up now, so that means 2 more(for now). I'm new to this, and updating everything right now is very tedious, and painstackingly slow!! Rounds for Q-School are starting to roll in!! So far, all have been with Pro skill level. The score to get onto the PGATour is -8 and everything worse than that makes the Buy.com Tour. Looks like the 3rd round(scoring avg. through 5 people = 75.4) may be the deciding round for some people out there on the bubble. The leader for medalist honors is Derek Fero with a 4 round total of -34 (-11,-11,-3,-9) and the only other person to finish all four rounds is David Hamilton with a solid -21! Good luck everyone!! |

The leaders for medalist honors are David Hamilton and Derek Fero, both with 2 rounds of 59 in the first 2 windless rounds!! Scores are on the Q-School page and on the LiveScoring page! |

11:10 am Spent some time yesterday/this morning making an overhaul/update to the site. I've just setup the course and course conditions for the Q-School!! It's gonna be a 4-round tourney at Pinehurst #2 (either of the US Open versions--the one that came with USOpen bundle, or the 2000 version that came with the 10 Course Pack). All the info can be found on this page!! The tourney doesn't have to be finished by a certain time, except for the fact that you can't play in any official Tour tournaments until you've completed Q-School as this places you in your division. Before you play, you've got to create a new player just for LinksLS PGA Tour play with a name that follows this guideline: PGA_yourname. I've also created Player Bio/Stat pages for each member. All members should email with the information to replace the default info. Now it's time to watch Tiger blow by the field at the US Open!! |

3:20 pm I'm now thinking about maybe starting the Q-School thing for members starting the 25th...I'm really eager to get this thing going and the sooner the better!! I'd like to hold the Q-School tourney at Pebble Beach(LS) but unsure as I don't know who has what courses..The Q-School would consist of probably 3 rounds at a single golf course that determines what bracket you'll play in. I'm only planning on having 3 divisions--Champ skill PGA Tour, Pro skill PGA Tour, and Pro skill Buy.com Tour. The Q-School would only affect the Pro skill players but Champ players can play just for the heck of it if they want...I've got a list of available courses on a page at my LinksLS site. |

I've changed the courses on the Tour Schedule page to courses that will be played(most likely) instead of the actual courses played on the PGA Tour. |

Am back from my little break(had a 2-day UConn freshman orientation and a golf tournament this weekend) and am now tryin' hard to get this Tour up and runnin'!! Have gotten about 1/10 of what I want to have done to get started. I'm tryin' to figure out how I want it setup and which files I need sent to me to show scores/stats(.rec, verification file, .pin file, and Gamestat.txt) Here's a little page that I've created to give you a preview/glance of what I plan on creating for my LinksLS 2000 Tournament Site. The tournaments will be either 2 rounds or 3 rounds of recorded games(offline) during a week. The saved games and verification files will then be sent to me(signboy01@aol.com). The tournament schedule will follow the actual PGA Tour's schedule including some of the special events: Match Play Championship, Majors, Ryder Cup, etc..(here's the 2000 PGA Tour Schedule which the Tour will be modeled after)!! I'm thinking of breaking this down into 3 divisions: PGA Tour(better Pro players) and Buy.com(less skilled players on Pro level) and a PGA Tour for players who wish to play on Champ skill level; each would play the same course but Buy.com might have easier conditions and easier opponents. Am also considering having a Q-School which would determine whether you would play on the PGA Tour or Buy.com Tour!! It would be a 4 round event at a course I choose and I would set a score that you would have to achieve for 4 rounds!! SOUNDS Cool, huh?? I may not do that though, as it may scare some people away. On the website, I hope to have "live" leaderboards(would be updated as soon as I get players' scores), Season Money Leaders, players stats, bio, and a heck of a lot more!! Any questions, or comments can be sent to me at df1ace@aol.com. |
