I decided to do it. After seeing the Edge 540 at
a sponsored SCRC Event this summer. I decided that it was time to go to
the 1/4 scale. So I got on trusty eBay. Went to hobbies/crafts, then
to air items. After searching all 2345 items I finally found what I was
looking for. The Korean made ARF from Illsyon Model Inc. After
four days of watching the item, I finally won it. So now an engine was
needed. Stick and Rudder my local Hobby Shop had a ASP 1:08 for mere
chump change. So with a swipe of the 'Ol Capitol One card it was mine.
The plane arrived in the mail and I realized it was a little more work putting
it together than what I was confident to do. So I took it to Old Man Ron
and he agreed to assemble it. Next I went back to eBay to find a radio for
the outfit. I found an old Airtronics with all components so we decided to
use that. Anyway its done all assembled and this summer it will join my
fleet by flying everyday I can.
