Superheroes
Moondrake is a Champions martial artist. I have been
playing him for more than ten years, and he has undergone a great deal of
development over the years. He has also developed quite a reputation
as an accomplished fighter and tactician. |
Blaze is a Champions energy projector. I have been
playing him for about five years. He is a power hitter with a bit of a
glass jaw. But his versatility in combat and his skills in dealing
with the public and journalists make him valuable to his teams. |
Cobra is a Champions fencer, necromancer, biker,
blues singer, guitarist, chef, pirate, vampire. I've been playing him
about three years in our supernatural themed superhero game. It's
called Team Noir (New Orleans Intervention and Rescue). Ranging from
hilarious to horrifying, it's been our liveliest and most entertaining game
in years. Never have we had a team of characters who so easily became a
family. |
Feral is a Champions...ummm...demi-brick, I
guess. I have been playing him forever-- I created him the week that
the first Champions book went to market. He has enough experience
points to buy a clone of himself. He has always been a lot of fun to
play in that "Tarzan" kind of way, innocent to the technological world and
wise to the natural one. He has been consigned to be a loaner
character for the past several years while I explored other characters. |
Swan is a Champions martial artist, my
favorite type character. There is an elegance to the Champions combat
system which is, in my estimation, unmatched by any other game.
Martial artists are the greyhounds of that combat system, moving with grace
and speed, fragile in a world where a single stumble can leave them broken.
I love to play characters like Swan, who depends on skill and versatility to
succeed. |
Shadowdragon is another Champions martial
artist, created for lower powered environments where non-combat skills are
essential. He is my super-spy. A master cat burglar, he is in
his best element hanging from the balcony of a high rise at 4am. |
Heroes
Ash Delamber is a Fantasy Heroes character.
In a kingdom of elves where each generation is carefully planned for maximum
magic potential, he was born with none. Rumors of bastardy and a
loveless family made him an angry youth, acting out against the rigid social
expectations of elven nobility. Carousing and making friends with
humans and other lesser races, he quickly became the black sheep of the
family. He has battled gods, changed his world and seen many wondrous
things in his efforts to prove himself worthy of a family that will never
accept him. |
Krimson, more
properly known as Lord Araketh Shariyeden Delamber is a Fantasy
Heroes mage. Ancient, powerful, vain, narcissistic and indolent, he
takes employ as a mercenary to derive funds for his pleasures.
Disinterested in the boring politics of court, he rarely visits the elven
homeland, although he harbors a certain fondness for his disenfranchised
great great great grand nephew Ash. |
Shirasu Ryu is a Heroes character. An
anachronism in the space faring future, he was raised on a planet holding to
the culture and traditions of medieval Japan. He was raised to be an
assassin, and schooled in the art of disguising himself as a girl in order
to get close to his targets. On the run from enemies of his family, he
signed aboard as the ship's doctor. He was forced to rely heavily on
the Argo's artificial intelligence to perform his duties, since his medical
skills were limited to a thorough knowledge of poisons and antidotes.
He has improved since then. |
