RCA

RCA- There was a long period of time I was away from home. This was the time I was at RCA. For 100 days I hiked, total of 318 1\2 miles. I made bow drill fires, a total of 33. I did 8 phases where I mad traps, poo-glue, and did lashings. I did many things that are survival techniques. But that isn’t only what I did. I also had a lot of time to think about all the things that have happened in my life and why I was there. I was contemplating why I decided to down all those pills, along with why everything had to come to that. In the end, I realized a lot about things about myself. I am strong, mentally and physically. I never have to rely on anyone for things. I can do this all myself. The thing that frightens me the most is this. I don’t think anyone but the people who went though the program will understand the extent of the crap I went though. All the emotional dilemmas I had to deal with. Along with the hardship of getting fires, and doing the dredged traps. But, as I have stated before, I am strong and I eventually did it. Below is some of the poetry I wrote while I was there. Some are sad, very sad. But a handful are really good. Enjoy!
