Biography
Cheese Factory Massacre was
formed in the winter of 1999. The only member with previous band experience was
drummer, Levi Klinkhammer. After nearly six months of preparing we played our
first show on April 19, 2000 at the County Seat Bowling Alley with Staddic from
Sioux Falls. We then played three more shows with the same members. In July of
2000 our singer, Matt Sage, left the band because his family was moving out of
town. We were then very fortunate to get former Soulforge guitarist Larry
Schwab to take over the guitar playing. Our former guitar player, Lee Feldhaus
then switched to singing. Shane Laible has been playing bass guitar since the
beginning of the band, and Levi Klinkhammer has remained the drummer. With the
current members we have played a number of shows over the past two years. We
have played with many local bands from the Sioux Falls area as well as the
Minneapolis area. In April of 2001 we released our first CD "American No
Chicks" which was recorded in Watertown, SD. Then in November of 2001 we
released our second CD "Little, Yellow, Different", which was also recorded in
Watertown. We are also planning on soon recording for a third time. This time
we will record at the Cathouse Studio in Sioux Falls.
