December 8, 2000 Dom's roommate Jody has been having a lot of trouble with her boyfriend. They have been dating since our first semester here, and I was always so excited about them being together. But, lately it's been this crazy roller coaster. They have broken up so many times in the past few weeks, and I am no longer phased when I'm told they have broken up. I know that they are just going to talk on the phone and get back together only to have another fight the next day and break up again. It's really getting to be tiring… Dom and I have to console her, she packs all his stuff to return to him, she cries, he calls, and they get back together. But, this last "break-up" was really hard for her, and Dom and I thought that we would surprise her by bring her to see her best friend at Drake. By the time that we all left for Des Moines, I learned that Jody and her boyfriend had patched things all up. I asked why we were still going…I had no idea… When we got to DSM…we met her friend, Sara, at the mall, and we shortly there after went to this Chinese restaurant to meet Sara's parents. We had a great dinner, and I got my sushi!! So I was pretty content. Her parents picked up most of the bill…they were awesome!!! When we got back to Sara's dorm room, we just kind of sat around and talked. We watched some video's, and Dom, Jody, and I decided to head back to Ames. We were going to stay overnight, but there really was no point because Sara had to get up early in the morning to meet her parents, so we would have been kicked out anyway. It wasn't that late by the time we got back in Ames…probably around 12:30am. When I walked in my dorm room…it was locked….I kind of caught my roommate masturbating again…. I figured that he was just finishing up because he was pulling up his pants in a very timely fashion and he was acting really weird.
