April 6, 2001 Dom and I had lunch like usual today, and we went outside to enjoy the nice weather while we had a cigarette. She was telling me the new developments with her roommate and currently ex-boyfriend. She was telling me this story that sounded vaguely familiar to an episode that Dom and I had. After I mentioned it…things kind of just blew up. I guess that this was an unresolved issue between us two. We went back up to her room, and the shit hit the fan. We were rehashing into old arguments, and it wasn't pretty. I really had to study for a test I had today, but if I didn't resolve this first…that task would have been damn near impossible. So, hours later…I kind of got things in control. She walked me towards my class, and the problem was settled. I went to the library to get some studying done, and I waited two more hours until my test. Class started, and I took the test. I was the second to the last one to finish. That should say something about the test that I took. I'm sure I did fine, but it wasn't a perfect test…so I was kind of disappointed. After class, Dom and I went to dinner and then this resident hall activity….Singled Out. How lame… Dom and I actually played…(even more pathetic). But some of our friends were there so we had fun. While I was there…this sort of stalker gay boy came up behind me and gave me hug. This guy doesn't know my name or really anything about me. But, everytime he sees me…he has the urge to flirt with me. I digress… Dom and I didn't win a date…so we left and we went out to Red Lobster. We waited a 45 minutes for a smoking table, and asked were we were on the list. The hostess said that it would be another 30 minutes. (We were told that it would be 25 minutes for table) They were a little bit off in their calculations. We settled for a non-smoking table. I felt the urge to spill all the salt on the ground. It resolved some of the anger I felt towards Red Lobster. :) We ordered dinner, and boy was it a lot of food. We couldn't even finish our main dishes. So, we got our doggy bags…hehe… and we asked for some more of those really delicious biscuits they give out. We left the restaurant with about 11 of those biscuits. The waiter was really nice so I gave him an 8 dollar tip. When Dom and I left the restaurant to have a cigarette, I completely forgot about the spilt salt, and I saw that our waiter found it. You don't know how bad I felt…he was actually a really awesome waiter. Dom and I fled the scene, and we went back home. I went straight to my room, and I made some necessary phone calls to some of my peeps. I'm not going to get into it, but there is some heavy shit going on with Josh. But anyway, after my phone calls, I started talking to one of my housemates, Al. He started telling me how unhappy he was here at school, and how he was planning on going to school closer to our home. I felt really bad for him, but there really wasn't anything that I could say to him. He was pretty set on his way. I was just really surprised at some of the things he was saying because it seemed like he was having fun and enjoying his time here…I guess I was just being oblivious. I left Al's room, and I went to bed, only to wake up in five hours… That story comes later. |
