Ok, so I'll have to admit to myself that maybe I have been spending a little bit too much this summer. I have only been home for a little over a month, and I think that I have already spent almost a thousand dollars. The only good thing that I can say is that I have also saved a thousand dollars.

Somehow…I guess that everything kind of balances out. Right?!!

What sparked this topic was the fact that I bought another pair of shoes. My justification to my parents is this, "I have a lot of shoes because I'm trying to compensate for the lack of shoes that my dad had when he was a kid…" It always gets them to laugh and make them forget that I didn't need a new pair of shoes to begin with.

Today was my only day off from work this week, and I came in anyway. I was planning on picking up my schedule and my paycheck…both of which wasn't there today. But, I got to see Eleni, Cory, Kevin, and Zach…my faves….hehe.. Eleni got off work, and I asked if she wanted to go shoe shopping with me. I was looking for some nice dress shoes. We headed off to Nordstrom's. About two minutes after we entered the men's shoe department, I saw my future shoes to be. They were just too awesome.

Eleni saw them and she said that she loved them. They were a pair of Diesel gym shoes. There were a couple different colors, but I ended up choosing navy with these sort of dull metallic stripes. You can't even understand how much I love the shoes…and for only $90.00 I couldn't resist buying them.

Eleni wasn't planning on getting anything, but I said that we should look in the women's department to see if they had any Diesel shoes for women because she loved mine so much. We didn't end up liking the women Diesel shoes, but we found some other shoes that she couldn't resist. They were on said, and two different styles…so she ended up putting to pairs on hold so that she could pick them up tomorrow.

Put me and her together and we are vicious with our spending. This is why I have decided to give my parents my credit card to hold for me so that I don't go to ballistic with my spending. I want to leave this summer with a little over two thousand dollars still in my checking, and that should last me for at least a semester of school…hopefully…hehe…

I went home after my purchase… I was way too happy after I bought my shoes…so I needed to rest a little.
