About Myself...
This is the page I dreaded writing - because
i know that before you can say simsim I would be writing crap
about myself and bore you guys away. Well - for how long you can
keep a about me page empty? So here goes. And if I stray from being
short and sweet then
drop me a line and tell me that I have well ... er mucked up
the whole thing.
My Life till DateI was born on September 14, 1972 in the small town of Gonda (Uttar Pradesh) in the wee hours of the morning. The state of Uttar Pradesh was not destined to play an important part in my development. That honour went to the state of West Bangal. My early days were spent in the 5 districts of North Bengal. In fact the district of Jalpaiguri was to be my second home - as I spent most of my childhood there. The later part of my teen was spent in Ram Krishna Mission Vidyalaya - Narendrapur. From Class VIII onwards I was under the tutelage of the Monks of the Order. The monks tried their best to make me a God fearing, obedient student - but somehow that was not to be. I don't blame them at all - simply put it was my own doing that made me what I was. Bang on Park Street - the heart of Calcutta is situated the best College in the whole of West Bengal. Students of Presidency college of Calcutta may disagree - but who gives a damn. Once a Xaverian always a Xaverian. A consistent top 5'er in the All India College list, this was to be the place where I was to spend the next 3 years of my life trying to unravel the mysteries of Economics, Booze and er um.... Girls. Some say I cracked the mysteries successfully ... And some.... Oh well ! you know how people are. For my masters I went to JNU - India's Top university for economics. With due apologies to D Schoolers' - Jawaharlal Nehru University or JNU as it is more fondly called, was to be my stop for the next two years. Well it was more than a stop. Out of the window flew love and girls, booze and everything else. We found out for the first time in our lives what actually is meant by studies. From Adam Smith to Ratex, from Karl Marx to Labour - it was hard work all the way. Who had the time to play guitar (not that I can play it) when you had to submit a 5,000 word report by 9:00 AM or else you loose your grades. I won't say more - but I will just leave you with a bit of statistics - out of the 60 who joined only 24 survived the gruelling course IISWBM - India's first management institute and my last stopover before the thing called Job caught up. Either you could pronounce the full name of IISWBM or you gave up half way. Two years of lounging around and learning management mumbo jumbo. It finally qualified us for the job marketHobbiesComputers has been my love for the last 13 years. I first started on computers when I started to learn Wordstar© in 1988 and slowly got fascinated by the whole stuff. I went on to learn BASIC, C and later fell heavily for Pascal and it's OOPS brother Delphi. It is still a major love and keeps on growing as the days go by. Checkout some of the programmes I have developed so far. Next to it is reading novels. My favourite authors being - J.R.R. Tolkein, Ayn Rand, Gabriela Garcia Marquez and Leon Uris. That does not mean that I don't read others. In fact I read anything which is written - a habit which has driven my friends and other to distraction no ends.General StuffI guess you came here because you wanted to know things about me but were afraid to ask. To satisfy your curiosity let me give you some vital stats - Height 5' 10" (178 cm), Weight - 72 Kgs... correction 78 Kgs. I love to sleep and that is a major form of relaxation. Anything else you want to know drop me a line with your question in it. I will be glad to oblige.Name AnalysisYour name of Rohit creates a quick, clever mind capable of grasping and assimilating new ideas. You are rather studious, mentally challenging each new idea before accepting it. Because you learn so quickly you have little patience with those whose mental processes are somewhat slower, and you could become supercilious or somewhat "know it all" in your attitude. This characteristic could make you rather unpopular with your associates. Although you are very knowledgeable and intelligent, you often find spontaneous verbal expression difficult. You crave friendship, understanding, love, and affection about your reserved manner appears forbidding to others. You can give expression to your personal thoughts and feelings most fluently through the written word. You have a sensitive nature - sensitive to your environment and particularly sensitive to how your deeper and more serious interests are regarded by others. Your feelings are very easily hurt and to protect yourself you withdraw within the realms of your own private thoughts and shut out the rest of the world. Moods, which are your worst enemy, result. Your sensitivity and lack of verbal expression frustrate and limit the satisfaction in life to be gained from your responsible and capable nature. Health problems arise due to worry and a sensitivity in the respiratory area which could lead to problems with the heart, lungs, or bronchial organs. The name of Vishal creates a shrewd, aggressive, business nature, intent on personal gain. You are capable of very logical and analytical thinking along practical business lines, and could excel in financial fields, law or politics. Your judgment is seldom swayed through your feelings. You have definite executive and leadership abilities, however you are inclined to be too blunt and forceful in dealing with people. There is a need to show more tact and understanding toward others in order to moderate a rather self-centred nature. The desires for independence and financial success have been strong motivating forces from very early in your life. Sacrificing much for material ambition will result in a lack of harmony and balance in your personal life, particularly a lack of appreciation for social courtesies and things of a more inspirational nature. Your health could suffer through ailments centering in the head. Also, the generative organs could be affected. The name of Kumar indicates you are a diligent and persevering worker who enjoys a routine occupation where you can do a job well and finish what you start. You like to work at your own speed, without pressure, as you prefer to take your time to work step by step in your own way. You could become frustrated and thwarted in your efforts if too many changes or disruptions occur. Also, you do not appreciate people enforcing new methods or ideas on you, as you like to examine all the details before making changes. It is difficult for you to be spontaneous and affectionate with those close to you, as suitable words and actions do not come to mind quickly. In association your tendency to state your mind simply and clearly, without diplomacy or finesse, can lead to awkwardness or embarrassment. Your fondness for excess quantities of heavy, starchy foods could cause stomach or intestinal disorders; you could also suffer with head tension, affecting the eyes, ears, sinus, throat, or loss of hair.
