Liu Chia-Liang is a martial arts director/actor. He is the brother of Gordon Liu Chia-Hui (who was adopted). He has contributed greatly to the world of martial arts cinema, serving as both a cinematic and martial arts mentor to such stars of the industry as Fu Sheng, Gordon Liu Chia-Hui, Kara Hui Ying-Hung (whom he dated), Hsiao Hou, and more.

His father Liu Chim was a well-respected actor and martial artist who studied the Hung Gar style from Lam Sai-wing, a student of Wong Fei-hung (a real life legendary Chinese hero). Liu Chia-liang began studying martial arts when he was seven, when he entered his father’s school. During his teenage years, he joined the film industry.

The first time I saw him was in the Invincible Pole Fighter. I didn't know who he was until I saw Mad Monkey Kung Fu (That's probably my favorite movie).
