THE DARKEST DAY OF HORROR THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN

INFORMATION

COUNTRY: Germany
YEAR: 2002
LABEL: Astro Records & Filmworks
STATUS: Unknown

OTHER INFO: Contains 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, 5.1 Dolby soundtrack in German, trailer, interviews, behind the scenes footage, goofs, make up effects, production notes and filmographies with biographies.

SUMMARY: Split over 2 discs, at first glance this package seems to contain a wealth of bonus material. In the end though, it all amounts to nothing. The interviews are merely text-based and in German, and the goofs, some stolen from this site, also text-based (here's me expecting a gag reel). The second disc has a hideous menu listing all of these 'special features' down the side, when in fact the only video footage is the trailer and a documentary on Tom Savini's make-up effects. Admittedly very interesting, we are given the choice of either an English version or a dubbed German version. But guess what? You can only listen to the German audio. Add to these extras some poor-quality pictures (stolen also, this time from Dr Logan's Day of the Dead site) and what we have is a very poor package. Not even the picture of the film has been restored, rendering the anamorphic transfer useless.
