INFORMATION
COUNTRY: UK OTHER INFO: Contains both colour and black and white versions of the film, all on one disc. Competent animated menus host very few extras - a one page Romero biography, Romero's filmography and a background to the film, again on one page. The little information is informative for those new to the film but for die hard fans, it gives us absolutely nothing new. No trailer, no commentary, no nothing basically. SUMMARY: Both versions are presented in their original 4:3 fullscreen ratio. The black and white version has the original mono soundtrack, although this seems very muffled in comparison to the Elite release. To complement the bad sound, picture quality is quite bad too. As for the color version - avoid it like the plague. From start to finish the image is atrocious, incredibly dark with little clarity. Sound is also awful. In general, another hastily put together release that has no redeeming qualities. OVERALL: 1 out of 5 |
