Purity:
This episode begins with a freaky scene where Tsukasa and the white
girl are running through the forest. The girl disappears and reappears
up in the trees. She jumps down on top of Tsukasa, stabbing him with a
knife. Tsukasa awakens to see Maho.
This episode was cute in that it focused on Bear, Mimiru, and Tsukasa
forming a party and completing a side quest for knowledge. The point
was to get Tsukasa to feel more comfortable in a group, as he has
always been a loner. Along the way, we learn that Mimirus father
is in the semicondustor business, and that Tsukasas mother liked
old movies. The quest consists of 3 riddles, and each yields a treasure
the first, an amethyst pendant, the second, an egg, and the
third, an egg stand. When the egg is put into the egg stand, a dragon
appears. Tsukasa, still uneasy about his previous fighting experiences,
refuses to fight. Mimiru then throws the amethyst at the dragon and it
changes into a medallion.
In real life, the life support is cut on a boy in the hospital.
Entanglement:
It begins by voices discussing that being brain dead and being a
vegetable are two different things. There is mention of a girl, Nancy
Kruzen, in a similar situation.
In The World, Mimiru asks Tsukasa about being hungry and sleeping. He
says he manages without them. He then tells her that she should take a
bath, as he can smell her.
In Tsukasas sanctuary, the teddy bear and the girl are covered in
vines and bugs. The fantasy place is dark. Vines cut Tsukasas
hand. Maho attacks him. In real life, we learn that the plug was pulled
on life support. BT thinks it may have been an attempted murder.
Luckily, the respirator in the hospital had a respiratory mode. Was it
a conspiracy in the hospital? Bear and BT grow more convinced that the
kid in the hospital is Tsukasa.
Meanwhile, in Tsukasas sanctuary, the Voice tells the story of
the Mermaid Princess who traded her voice for beautiful legs to meet
the prince. Unfortunately the prince married someone else and the
Mermaid Princess turned into a bubble of light and disappeared. The
Voice then explains that it keeps Tsukasa and the girl there.
Bears new theory is that Tsukasas body is a vegetable, but
that he may regain consciousness if he is able to log out. He tells
Tsukasa his theory and invites him to help them look for the Key of the
Twilight, the means which should allow him to log out. The Voice asks
Do you really want to go back?
In the sanctuary, Tsukasa comes to the realization that he was the
Mermaid Princess and this fantasy place is the sea. He should stay
here.
