DONALD DUCK CELEBRATES 65 YEARS OF SHOW BUSINESS

Donald Duck will celebrate his 65th birthday on June 9. Since his first appearance in the Silly Symphony "The Wise Little Hen" in 1934, Donald has been entertaining movie, television, and theme park audiences for 65 years.

Here are just a few fun facts about the implusive, cantankerous duck:

- Donald has appeared in seven animated features (more than any of his animated friends, including Mickey Mouse)

- "Der Feuhrer's Face," a war cartoon in which Donald starred, won an Academy Award in 1943.

- Donald has his web prints in the forecourt of the historic Mann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood and a star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame.

- Donald is the official mascot of the University of Oregon.

- Donald Duck's middle name is Fauntleroy.

- It has been said that Mickey Mouse represents what we should be, while Donald Duck represents what we are.
