"AJ, man, I ..." Nick stuttered.
"You... you, slut!" AJ spat at MacKenzie.
Tears welled in her eyes, "Don't call her that," Nick commanded.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?" AJ screamed lunging at Nick.
Nick leaped out of the way and AJ got back to his feet, face red, sweat pouring from his forehead.
"I'm so sorry," MacKenzie sobbed.
"Shut up," AJ yelled, "Shut up." He repeated quieter, as tears began streaming down his cheeks.
"Aj..." Nick started.
AJ's shoulders sank, "I never would've thought..."
Brian and Kevin entered, "What's going on?" Kevin asked stepping between AJ and Nick.
"I...I..." Nick put his head down.
Brian knew immediately what was going on and rushed to MacKenzie's side. "What happened?"
"AJ knows." She whispered staring and AJ who's body was shaking, his fists balled.
"Listen you guys," Kevin intervened, "A girl is not worth it," MacKenzie flinched as Kevin glared in her direction.
"She's worth it to me," Nick said quietly.
"You have no idea!" AJ shouted, "You don't know what love is, you are a stupid kid. Nothing but a stupid prick."
Kevin shook his head and wiped the corners of his mouth.
"She's not worth it, you guys have been friends for too long. You've got a show tonight, millions of people are waiting for you. They're what's important, not a fight over some girl."
MacKenzie scowled at the way Kevin spoke of her.
AJ choked back his tears and left the room slamming the door.
"Happy?" Kevin asked MacKenzie.
"You act like I did this on purpose!" MacKenzie defended herself.
"They were friends and look what you've done!"
"We couldn't help it! You can't help who your heart chooses for you to fall in love with." Nick said.
"In love with?" Brian raised his eyebrows at MacKenzie.
"Yeah, I'm in love with her," Nick said quietly.
"Well, get ready for a heartbreak, that seems to be the trend when you get involved with her," Kevin grumbled walking out to find AJ.
Nick slumped into a chair.
"Did you mean when you said you were in love with me?" MacKenzie asked.
"I better get out of here. Shows in an hour Nick." Brian said closing the door.
"Yeah."
"I love you too..." MacKenzie looked into his eyes.
"Damnit! Damnit all!" Nick lashed out.
"Maybe I should just leave this tour, get out of your lives."
"Yeah run away from me when the going gets tough just like you did with AJ." Nick spat angrily.
"How dare you..." MacKenzie glared at him.
"MacKenzie, I'm--" MacKenze slammed the door, "Sorry..." Nick finished when she was already gone. He put his head in his hands, "What have I done?"
"God!" MacKenzie grumbled falling down unto her bed.
"What's wrong?" Kirsten asked walking over to the bed.
"Everything." MacKenzie sobbed. A few seconds later there was a knock.
"Who is it?"
"Me," Brian said opening the door.
"She ok?" Brian asked referring to MacKenzie.
"She's upset..."
Brian nodded.
"Fuck...Fuck..." AJ cursed kicking the ground.
"AJ?"
"Get away from me." AJ turned to face Nick.
"We need to work this out."
"We wouldn't have to work anything out if you had stayed away from my girlfriend."
"She's not your girlfriend." Nick said quietly.
"She would've been if it weren't for you."
"I'm sorry... it just happened. Noone meant to hurt you."
"Well you did." AJ said struggling to hold back his tears.
Nick turned to walk away, "Nick?"
"Yeah?"
"Take care of her..."
Nick nodded sullenly and walked off leaving AJ to cry alone.
*Elsewhere*
"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Kirsten asked MacKenzie for the seemingly billionth time.
"Yeah, I'll be fine..." She sniffled and closed her eyes.
Kirsten smiled and got up and went to her bunk to lie down.
"Have you noticed anything differnt about her?" Brian asked MacKenzie.
"She's been kinda distant, did she say anything to you?"
"No..." Brian looked down, concerned.
