Chapter Two

"Hi, this is Marissa Daniels and Im live here in Orlando with the annual Big Help-athon. We've got amazing performances coming from Sisqo, Christina Aguilera, Five, Britney Spears, and many many more. So, please stayed tuned and please call and make your pledge. Your help is always significant," I said smiling into the camera.

"And we're clear," the camera guy announced.

I smiled and handed the microphone to him.

"Thanks," he said.

"No problem," I nodded and walked off. Bobby was following close behind me.

"Marissa!" I heard an exclaim from behind me. I turned quickly and saw Leah rushing up to me.

"Leah!" I exclaimed as we hugged.

"How've you been!?" I asked.

"Good, look at you. You look great," she smiled.

"Thanks, you do too!" I said. I was so happy to see my best friend again.

"Ive got to perform in fifteen minutes, do you want to come backstage?" I asked.

"Sure, mind if I bring someone along though?" she asked.

"Sure, who?" I asked.

"My boyfriend," she said shyly. Suddenly a guy appeared at her side.

"No, I dont mind. Come on," I said and we walked, Bobby walking closer to me than before. We walked backstage and into my dressing room.

"You've got some fans here," Robert, my manager, told me.

"Cool, where?" I asked.

"Right here," a little girl, about five said shyly looking up at me.

"Hi sweetheart," I said kneeling down beside her.

"Hi," she grinned.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Samantha," she answered.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Samantha. Are you ready for the show?" I asked.

"Yes, I went to your concert last night," she told me.

"Aww, really?" I asked.

"Yeah, can I have your autograph?" she asked.

"Of course. Im going to go get into my outfit for the show and then I'll sign something for you, ok?" I asked.

"Ok," she nodded.

I ran off to the changing area and put on my black leather pants and a black leather triangle top. My hair was already done, so I returned to the little girl and Leah.

"Hey Samantha," I beamed.

"Hi," she said.

"So, who brought you here?" I asked curious.

"My Uncle Howie," she told me.

"Oh, where's he at?" I asked.

"Right here," I heard a voice. I looked up and there was the most amazing man I have ever seen in my entire life. He was a little taller than me, with long curly black hair, and big beautiful eyes.

"Hi, Im Marissa," I choked.

"Nice to meet you, Im Howie," he grinned.

"Can you sign something now?" she asked.

"Sure!" I said bringing my attention back to the little girl. She handed me my CD cover and smiled. I grabbed a black marker and signed the CD for her.

"Thanks," she said.

"You're welcome sweetie," I said.

"I wanna be just like you when I grow up," she told me.

"Awww," Leah gushed. I turned and smiled at her.

"Isnt she cute?" I asked.

"Yes," she said grinning.

"You're on in two," Robert told me.

"I'll be back guys," I said and ran off to where the stage was.

*After The Performance*

"Do you want to go out to dinner or something?" I asked Leah.

"Sure, that would be cool," Leah nodded.

"Can I go?" Samantha asked.

"Sure, if your uncle doesnt mind coming along," I said looking at Howie.

"Uh, are you sure it's ok?" he asked.

"Yeah, it'll be cool," I nodded.

"Ok, we can go," he said looking down at Samantha.

"Thank you so much Uncle Howie! I love you so much," she gushed wrapping her little arms around his legs.

"You're welcome," he looked admiringly down at her.

"Well, Im just going to get a shower and then we can go," I said.

I walked back to the shower room and took a quick hot shower. When I got out, I put on a 3/4 length skirt and a yellow figure fitting spegatti strap top.

I pulled my hair into a clip and walked out to the room.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Yeah, let's go," Leah agreed.

"Let me tell someone Im leaving," I said.

I walked up to Robert.

"Hey, Im going out with some friends," I told him.

"No, you're not," he told me.

"And why not?" I asked.

"Because, it's too dangerous," he said.

"No, it's not," I said.

"Yes, it is," he argued.

"Even if people recognize me, half of them wont know if its really me or not and wont even approach me," I said matter-of-factly.

"Marissa, dont argue," he glared at me.

"I dont have to listen to you. Im going out. Good-bye," I said and walked off.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Yep," everyone nodded.
