Chapter Eight

*The Boys*

"So, how was the date?" Howie asked Nick as all the guys sat around a table at McDonalds (AJ requested). Nick shurgged,

"Not great, you seemed pretty cozy with Alli, eh?"

Howie blushed and Nick turned to Brian. "You never called me to tell me about Miss Wonderful."

Brian grinned, "she hasn't called yet...but she will... she borrowed something, she has to return it, right?"

Nick smiled, "yup."

"It's weird how we're all meeting chicks off tour, eh?" AJ commented.

"Why? Who'd you hook up with this weekend?" Brian questioned.

Kevin grinned at AJ knowingly.

"Who?"

"This girl, Kirsten, she's a friend of MacKenzie, the guy Kevin hooked up with the other night."

"MacKenzie...Kirsten?" Nick asked.

"Glad your hearings ok..." Kevin smirked.

"Shut up. I just have this friend, Alli, who lives around here and her two best friends' names are Kirsten and MacKenzie."

"Whata coininkidink," AJ said.

"Yeah..." Nick trailed off.

"Poor Nicky, we all met chicks, but Nickys lonely." Brian teased.

"Rok, you know how I feel having a girlfriend, it's pointless, besides we're leaving this area in like a month."

"None of us are talking about girlfriends. Just a few random hookups before we go back on tour." Brian retorted.

"Shut up, you wouldn't hook up with anyone, choir boy."

"I resent that,"

Nick threw a fry at Brian and Brian spit his soda in Nick's hair.

"Grow up." Kevin muttered.

Nick put his hands up, "You got it Cap't." Kevin rolled his eyes and began eating again.

*Some days later*

~Tiffany~

"Hi, is...Brian there?"

"Talkin' to him." I wiped my sweaty palms on my knees.

"This is Tiffany, I dunno if you remember me, I borrowed 'American Pie' about a week ago."

"Right..."

"Yeah and I was just calling to say I'd be dropping by whenever it's convienent for you..."

"Sure, right. Um... well, since I let you borrow my movie, you kinda owe me a favor right?"

I hesitated, "right..."

"Would you like to have dinner sometime this evening? Or tomorrow evening if tonights not good."

"Um...sure. That sounds great... Tonight... what time?"

"Give me directions and I'll be there in maybe 3 hours." I glanced at the clock. 5 pm.

"Ok," I preceeded to give him the directions and then hung up the phone to begin preparation for the date.

"I am not going on a date with a Backstreet Boy!" I told myself. It wasn't even that. He was so nice and so cute!

I walked into my huge walk-in closet and began surveying my wardrobe. I tried on a short, tight black skirt and paired it with a tight peach coloured tank top. It looked cute.

The phone rang...

~Brian~

"Hello?" I heard her say.

"Tiffany?"

"That's me."

"Listen, I don't want to change our plans, but um, would you totally mind if I made a slight alteration?"

"Nope." Good. I was glad to know she was laid-back.

"Well, my friend Nick really needs to get out so I was wondering if you had a friend who might want to go out with us tonight." Please. Please. I waited for a second before she said,

"Yeah. My friend Britney's boyfriend is being an asshole, I think it would do her a lot good to get out.

"Great." I hung up and dialed Nick's number.

"Yo." he answered.

"That's so gay." I told him.

"Whatdaya want or did you just call to insult me?"

"Remember when I told you I'd get up the nerve to ask that girl, Tiffany out?"

"Yeah..."

"Well, I did it, and she has a friend named Britney and I was thinking..."

"No blind dates."

"Nick..." I whinned.

"Brian..." He whinned back.

"Please, you know I'd do it for you."

"Well...you're stupid."

"NICK!"

"Fine, what time?"

" I gotta be at her place by 8 and it's like half an hour away."

"It's 6."

"Then hurry up Nickolas."

"Don't call me that."

I laughed as I hung up. I hoped things would work out with me and Tiffany. She was gorgeous, hopefully her personality would be as great as her looks. Perfect packages are hard to come by...
