We welcome you to join the Florida DARE Officers
Association and to be part of an active, growing organization.
FDOA serves as an educational association for law enforcement officers
and educators working with juveniles, parents, and the community to
enhance their understanding of law enforcement. The association
also provides a means to share, disseminate, advise, and coordinate
information relating to the DARE Program by law enforcement officers who
teach students on the principles of good citizenship and and community
responsibility that encourages a drug and violence free society.
The Florida DARE Officers Association also provides scholarships to
children of members who are deserving and eligible. The amount of
scholarships given and funds available is affected by the number of
members.
Application for Membership
Please check the appropriate box for the type of
membership you are seeking. All memberships are subject to the
approval of the board of directors. The standard for eligibility
for associate membership will be the same standard as required to serve
as a volunteer in the public school systems of the State of Florida.
Active members must be sworn law enforcement officers who are certified
DARE Instructors or the immediate supervisor of a DARE Instructor.
