Our Spring Show was a big success, aside from the occasional case of Mono or Bronchitis, it ran pretty smoothly. Our Prez Bernadette got Bronchitis and had to be replaced at the last minute, but after a serious panic attack, we regrouped and did a good job in her absence. That very following week, some of us went up to States!
States
States was so much fun! There was just so much to see: shows, workshops, competition pieces, and guys! We musn't forget the inside jokes and quotes from the trip like our hamsters. We brought a little bit of Miami up to Tampa with us and left it with the people we met up there. We competed in group musical with "Cell Block Tango" and playwright with the original one-act, "Two Rooms", they were both rated as "good". There were some really excellent acts, some of out favorites were:
- "Pippin"
- "Greater Tuna"
- Money from "Cabaret"
- Twenty Million People from "My Favorite Year"
- And a bunch of monologues that we forgot the names of.
Here's a list of some of the cool people we met up there:
- Paul (John Lennon)
- Matt
- Brandon (guy we made fun of at the Carribean Dance workshop)
- Greg (guy we made fun of at the Carribean Dance workshop)
- Trey
- Jacob
- Akira
- Corie
- Meredith
- Troupe #1466 (again & again & again)
- And other random people we'd strike up conversations with
