Occupation: Programmer (a "Fachinformatiker" as they call it in Germany), some kind of specialized programmer.

I live in: Leverkusen, Germany, near - although on the other side of the Rhine
- to Köln/Cologne/Keulen.

Hobbies: Reading, Writing, Star Wars, the german Roleplaying-System called "Das
Schwarze Auge", in English "Realms Of Arcania" (Game for PC) or "The Dark Eye" (new
name).

Favorite
... games: On Computer: Monkey Island I and Indiana Jones IV (The Fate of Atlantis).
But there are *many* other great ones, too !
Non-Computer: Bluff, Gambler (both use dice).

... color: Purple and (rather dark or sky-like) Blue. The Green color of leaves
enlightened by light shining through them. Apart from that I'm fascinated by the color of
sunsets, late in the evening.

... books: Michael Ende's "Neverending Story", "Momo" by him, too, "Lord of the Rings",
Timothy Zahn's Star Wars books, the Letters of Plinius the younger one, and, of course,
"Bone" ! An outstanding Comic-Series !

... music: Mike Oldfield, especially "Tubular Bells II", "Amarok" and "Discovery" from
him, the old works by Genesis until Steve Hackett's parting, the Classic Rock versions of
the Songs by Genesis found of the album "We know what we like",  Alan Parsons
Project, especially the Project's very first album, Yes ("Magnification", "Homeworld")
since a few years, and of course Enya. Everything that includes harmonies and/or epic
stories.

... movies: "The Dark Crystal" ! Outstanding. Period.
Of course all Star Wars movies, since I'm a fan of them ! ;-)

... drinks: Difficult to describe in English. Grape juice (right ?) made from what would
otherwise become wine. :-D And juice made from Guaves (right written ? called "Guave"
- singular form - in German).

... food: Very difficult. Of course I like bavarian Knödel, but obviously I like other food,
too. For example chocolate and Müsli. :-D
I also like very much italian food.
I tend to become vegetarian.

I really like: Really good music. Harmony of Life. Feeling Nature. Places of Tranquility.

I really hate: Ignorance, Intolerance, Selfishness, Cruelty.

My personal slogan is: - Why make it simple, although you can do it complex, too ?
- You can get to know the world *really* only when you use the paths apart from the
main roads...
- Only through thinking might get the world a better one - and making people thing is my
main purpose in all my sayings and writings.
