The Morning View,

I'll
admit I was seduced by "Wish You Were Here" playing endlessly on the
radio, so I went ahead and bought the whole album. No regrets. On
top of the aforementioned hit (as well as the album opener, "Nice
to Know You"), this disc offers my favorite kind of music these days:
the odd blend of melodramatic and moody boys who harbor more than
just a touch of anger. I enjoyed listening to the whole thing, and
you know how I love to skip around. This disc definitely falls on
the lighter side of anger, so if you're looking for dark, loud, and
fuck-the-world, look elsewhere (might I suggest the latest Rob Zombie?).
The earlier release, Make Yourself, is a bit louder and angrier
than this one, but I recommend both.
