Notes:
Peter Tosh reportedly plays guitar and vocal on tracks (2) although I can find
no record of such an appearance.
The "Give Me Strength"s are also known as "Dobro Jam 1 and 2" in Marc
Roberty books.
The mixing of the first seven tracks, all of which appeared on "Crossroads",
is reportedly different from the legitimate release. This could be due to the
"Crossroads" versions having been remixed from *these* remixed versions.

The CD says "Armando and Friends" (see track 12). Timings are included for
comparison to other releases of these songs. They are taken from the CD
player and are not listed on the inserts. The consensus right now is that EC
is probably not playing on tracks 10-12 inclusive.
Tracks 1-9 are instrumental run-throughs of songs from the aborted 2nd Derek
and the Dominoes album.

"same as CONCERT FOR BANGLA DESH"
Now, this is confusing...it says 2nd show (which would be evening)
but also the same as CONCERT FOR BANGLA DESH which Hot Wacks also
states is the afternoon (1st) show. Since I don't have wither of
these two, I can't comment.

Reviews
CD Now
As evidenced on THE BEST OF GEORGE HARRISON, the
Quiet Beatle did well in his little corner of Fab Fourdom
despite being in the considerable shadow of John Lennon and
Paul McCartney. The first seven songs on this collection point
to Harrison's substantial contributions to the band, with
"Taxman," "Here Comes The Sun" and "While My Guitar
Gently Weeps" being some of the more notable Harrison
compositions. "Something" was the only song Harrison wrote
for the Beatles that became a hit and ended up being covered
by a number of artists including Frank Sinatra (who
mistakenly credited it to Lennon/McCartney).
Having been one of the first rock musicians to experiment
with and embrace Eastern culture invariably bore a heavy
influence on Harrison's music, most notably on his early solo
work. "My Sweet Lord" and "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace
On Earth)" with their messages of spiritual tranquility both
topped the charts while "What Is Life" landed in the top 10.
Harrison's commitment to the East resulted in a pair of 1972
charity concerts at Madison Square Garden for the people of
Bangladesh from which the single "Bangla-Desh" peaked at
23 and earned more money for this personal crusade.

A solid concert offering that showcases Russell's strengths (and weaknesses) as a live performer, with A-1 support throughout.
