Thomas was born in June 2001.  He weighed 9 lb, 5 oz and was 21 inches long.

Tommy recently turned a year old and continues to amaze Mommy and Daddy.  He's fully mobile now, running around and getting into everything.  He eats just about anything that's on the table, and eats a lot of it!  He doesn't talk yet, so communication is mainly grunting and pointing.  We sometimes call him our little cave-baby.  :-)  He does babble, though and often loudly!  He's definitely showing his own little personality.

He has several favorite toys these days.  The phone that Grandma and Grandpa C. got him for his birthday gives him music he loves to dance to.  He also likes the Safari Country Jeep that Grandma and Grandpa O. got him, as evidenced by the number of times Mommy and Daddy hear "B-B-Bu-Buffalo!"  He likes to play with the tupperware shape sorter.  Daddy thought it was kind of pricey when we bought it, but now thinks it's definitely worth it.  He's trying, but is only occasionally able to get a piece in on his own.  It's largely a game that's played with some help.  In a recent shining moment, though, he learned how to put the rings onto the ring stacker, instead of just taking them off.  And that toy gets a lot of wear and tear, too.  And peek-a-boo is a perennial favorite, of course.

Tommy has cranky moments, but is mostly a very happy smiley kid.  Daddy's surprised at how well he can entertain himself at this age, and especially surprised at how long he will sit flipping through the pages of his books all by himself.  Tommy has one or two naps a day and nighttimes are pretty predictable now.

Tommy's mommy and daddy love him so much and wouldn't trade him for the world!
