Meade 102ED and a Meade 10" LX200 . These are my formerly owned scopes. I really regret selling the 102 - it had fantastic optic's. As for my 10" I don't miss it because I have a 12" now. Both were Very Good Scopes!!!  The 102 is sitting on a Vixen Great Polaris mount and a Meade Tripod which I have since sold also to fund the ones I now have.  This mount is a very good mount especially for the price. I doubt it would handle anything over a 4" scope tho.

This was my LX50. This was a very good scope for visual use and minor photographing such as the moon and short exposures. It's a heavy scope and since it doesn't come with the handles on the forks to lift it around it makes it harder to move it. I was happy with this scope till I wanted to get more into CCD imaging. Then I decided to sell it and purchase the LX200. I'm very glad I did because the LX200 tracks more accurate and is alot easier to move around with the handles.

The Nexstar 5 is a scope I had briefly. First night out with it the optic's really impressed me for a 5" on deep space objects. Has very nice focuser. As for the mount - it's pretty accurate but it doesn't have the synchronizing ability that the Meade ETX has. Which I think makes it less accurate. As for stability the mount and tripod works very well. I know alot of people think that the one fork arm would make it less stable, but it isn't. I wouldn't try to take any pictures thru it, but it is a very good beginner and grab and go scope

This is the Vixen 120 Neo-Achromatic. They say the extra doublet provides added color correction, but it doesn't!! This scope has LOTS of color. The clarity was fine, but the color distracted from the good views. The cosmetic's of this scope was alot better than the optic's. But I guess if you don't mind color it's not that bad of a scope. I think it's priced alittle high for the performance you get.
