Hi!! My name is Tim and I am 18 years old. I live in Iowa. I got interested in astronomy when I was 12 years old. My first scope was a Celestron 80mm refractor. I really enjoyed viewing so I set a goal to gradually improve the scope and eyepieces I would use. My next scope was a Meade LX50 10". I sold this and upgraded to a Meade LX200 10" which I really enjoyed and had this one the longest.Next I purchased an ETX 90EC with mount and tripod. I then sold the mount and purchased a Guidescope mount to piggyback the ETX onto my LX200. Next came my Takahashi 102 on a Losmandy G11 mount. I found a Takahashi FC60 to use as a guidescope for the 102. I then sold my LX200 10" to upgrade to a 12". I now have the LX200 12" with my ETX 90EC inside my 12x12 roll off roof observatory. They are mounted on my permanant pier. I have my Tak's on a wheelie bar for easy roll out to view outside my observatory. To enhance my viewing with my scopes I have these eyepieces: Two Pentax 21mm and Two Celestron Silver Tops - that I use with my bino viewers, a Pentax 5.2mm, a Takahashi 7.5mm, a Takahashi 50mm/2inch, a Meade 14mm, Meade 9.7mm, Orion 32mm/2inch, a Meade 15mm, a Gary Russell 2"/1.5xbarlow, Teleview 3x barlow, Meade short 2xbarlow. I also have a Journada 548 Pocket PC and I bought the sky program for windows EC. This works really GREAT!!. |
