Political Pushover stands for stripping away the politics that govern our society and our lives, and start dealing with people. Political Pushover is Unity, Peace, and Anarchy. We want a society free of politics, phony fasauds, and propaghanda. A society in which people live their lives for other people instead of themselves. I think that only then can we truly be free!
Political Pushover is a fucked up ska/punk band from Utah.It was started by Brandon Rocque and Cody Clark(shorty)in the summer of 1998, We recruited Rob Jolley to play Guitar, and our friend to play 2nd guitar. They found us a drummer, and a bassist. As a six piece, we played two shows and then we broke up in february of 1999. Then in March, Brandon, shorty, and Rob started it back up again, and recruited Greg, to be our Bassist. We worked on new songs and started looking for a new drummer. We had several people play drums for us off and on, but none of them seemed to work out. With our drummer Chris we played a show at a old theater in a hick town. We had quite an enterage of quests there our close friends, the other bands, and four or five hicks. Awesome! It is now september and we are on our fourth drummer who has proved to be very promising and we are ready to start playing shows again. The reason why we broke up was because our 2nd guitarist decided he didn't like punk anymore, so he convinced everyone except Brandon and cody to start a band with him called "Demanding tendancies" they had a really good song and then broke up. Oh well. Mike now has a new band called Corrupted Youth and they will be doing shows with us soon. Greg played in a band called Common Sense,(they played w/ us at our first show) and he is an amazing bassist. Thats pretty much it, No record deals yet, political as fuck and ready to attack the world!
